The seminar on incentive measures for the voluntary creation and management of protected areas analysed the different national systems of protected areas which are private or managed by the private sector, listed schemes to promote voluntary reserves and suggested methods and means likely to facilitate the creation and extension of reserves belonging to the private sector or managed by it.
