The role and responsibilities of the lawyer in a society in transition (1999)

This meeting in Budapest allowed the different Bars of central and eastern European countries to discuss the role and responsibilities of the lawyer in a society in transition and more particularly the organisation, administration and profesional standards and rules of conduct of the profession of lawyer with regard to the principles of the European Convention on Human Rights, as well as access to justice and problems linked with legal aid.
