Youth policy in Finland (1999)

This study outlines the strengths and weaknesses of the youth policy in Finland, drawing where appropriate upon broader international evidence and debate. Recently the lives of young people in Finland have been affected by many changes, of which the recession, immigration and membership of the European Union are some of the most significant. A serious and sustained discussion on the shape and direction of youth policy has now become necessary. It is hoped that this international report will make a useful contribution to the debate.
