This colloquy is dedicated to the memory of Cyrille de Klemm, brillant lawyer and thinker who made very substantial contributions to international environment law, in particular in the field of conservation of biological diversity. The different presentations provide a good overview of his work and the evolution and effectiveness of international legal instruments on biological diversity, as well as the shortcomings in their implementation.
