Political and social participation of immigrants through consultative bodies (1999)

In certain European countries, special structures for the consultation of immigrants and minorities have been set up as an element in the democratic process. This book presents these structures, their tasks and functioning as well as their membership. The examination of these consultative mechanisms has to be placed in the wider context of the political participation of immigrants in general and must also take into consideration the question of their voting rights.
